10 Red Balloons is a collective action platform that enables users to:

• Create and join pledges for coordinated action
• Set threshold triggers for activation
• Build influence through referral networks
• Participate in digital collective action campaigns

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Platform, you must create an account using:

• A valid email address
• Magic link authentication (no passwords required)

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Pledge Commitments

When you join a pledge on our Platform:

• Your commitment becomes binding once the threshold is met
• You will receive email notifications when thresholds are reached
• You agree to follow through on your pledged actions
• You may withdraw from a pledge before the threshold is met

5. Referral System

Our referral system allows you to:

• Earn influence points for referring new users
• Build multi-level networks
• Track your referral performance

You agree not to spam or engage in deceptive practices when sharing your referral code. We reserve the right to revoke influence points obtained through fraudulent means.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate pledge thresholds
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform
• Create pledges that promote violence, hate speech, or illegal activities

7. Content and Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of 10 Red Balloons™ or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright laws.

User-generated content (pledges, comments) remains your property, but you grant us a license to use, display, and distribute it on the Platform.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process data as described in that policy, including:

• Email addresses for authentication
• Pledge participation data
• Referral network information
• Usage analytics

9. Email Communications

By using the Platform, you consent to receive:

• Magic link authentication emails
• Pledge threshold notifications
• Platform updates and announcements

You may opt out of non-essential communications but cannot opt out of authentication or critical pledge notifications.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Actions taken by users based on pledges
• Failure of users to fulfill their pledge commitments
• Technical issues or service interruptions
• Decisions made using influence point rankings

11. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Platform at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
